Set within 25 acres of idyllic Worcestershire countryside, Shatterford Lakes is considered to be one of the UK’s premier angling venues. Here we have 4 syndicate and 3 public fishing lakes all interlinked by fresh natural spring water flowing from the hills into the valley below. Shatterford Lakes originally opened as a Wildlife Sanctuary in 1972, and was home to many animals including wallabies, deer, meerkats and alpacas before specialising in fishing. Local wildlife can still be spotted in the area, which makes this an especially beautiful angling location throughout the whole year.
Shatterford Lakes Fishery is open throughout the year, 7 days a week, including Bank Holidays, with the exception of Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Hosting six lakes in total, including two specimen lakes, there are many fishing options available depending on your style and preference on the day. Here you’ll find some of the largest carp and catfish in the country.

Our fishery provides perfect fishing conditions for beginners hoping to start their fishing journey, as well as a challenging but rewarding experience for already established angling enthusiasts. Our lakes contain an array of fish including catfish up to 102lbs+, carp over 38lbs and an abundance of good sized silvers, including roach to 3lb and bream over 10lbs. Our public waters provide great sport for silvers and match angling, with our top pool often bringing in match weights of 162lb or more. We have a designated cat and carp pool open to the public containing carp to 25lb, cats to 52lb, grass carp to 28lb and pike to 23lb.
Rod numbers are strictly limited to avoid over-crowding and pre-booking is advisable on all public pools. Overnight and longer stays are available and have become a popular choice to get the full experience of our fishery.

Good news, Shatterford has two holiday cottages on site, sleeping 10 and 12 respectively.
These quaint cottages are part of the owner’s property and are nestled within the hills and lakes of Worcestershire countryside.
Finished to a high standard, each cottage is spacious and fully furnished, complete with a wood burning stove, a modern kitchen and picturesque views over the lakes. Double doors at the back of the properties open out onto a private lawn, making it the perfect spot for spending time with family and friends.
